HST Research

HST students conduct innovative research at the intersection of science, engineering, and medicine. HST's unique partnership between Harvard and MIT permits students to engage in research with faculty mentors located at both universities and at Harvard Medical School's teaching hospitals.
  • Faculty Research - Members of the HST Faculty have diverse research interests and collaborations that create bridges between the laboratory bench and the hospital bedside.
  • Entrepreneurial Opportunities - Exposure to the issues involved in commercializing technology is an important part of the HST experience.
  • Career Development and Mentoring- Programs that offer mentoring support, career development and networking opportunities for your reseach projects beyond the thesis committee.
  • Student Theses - Theses by our most recent graduates demonstrate the breadth of our students' research, spanning engineering, physical sciences, biological sciences, and clinical applications.
  • Finding a Lab - Overwhelmed by the extent of your choices? Here are some resources to help you throughout the process.
Members of the HST community - students, faculty and staff -- are required to adhere to standards outlined in the HST Credo of Professionalism.
