Traci Anderson, HST’s Academic Programs Administrator, was recognized for exceptional service to the community at the sixth annual Harvard Heroes Award Ceremony on Monday, June 5. This highly selective honor is given to only sixty employees—0.5% of staff—university-wide.

Traci was nominated by her colleagues in the areas of Service Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation/Continuous Improvement. Most notably, Traci was praised for her calm and efficient work ethic; her reliability, dedication, and can-do attitude pitching in to help wherever it's needed; and students and faculty alike benefit from her "encyclopedic knowledge" of Harvard and MIT administrative processes.

As part of the celebration, Harvard asked each of the Heroes to answer some questions about their work. Traci shared that her idea of perfect happiness at work is at the beginning of the year when the new class of students—and the energy they bring—arrive on campus. On this momentous occasion, Traci also said, "It was really wonderful to receive the Harvard Heroes recognition this year. I am grateful for the acknowledgment and can’t say enough about how much I enjoy working with my colleagues in HST."
